Editors Corner

After the summer break we are back at publishing new JCM articles. This issue introduces two new authors.Both of these articles are focused on conceptual modeling and offer practical experience and theory. Welcome aboard!

We making a change in JCM article publication. Rather than waiting for a specific date and submissions from authors that are all on different time commitments, we are introducing “when arrived” publication. Whenever a suitable article is received from an author, we will format that article and immediately place that article in the JCM. The most current articles will be listed on the JCM index. We hope this encourages authors by knowing their efforts will not sit around until a new publication date is available. It also allows authors to create their own time-frame for releasing articles. We think this is a better strategy as things happen quickly and authors want to get their efforts before an audience of readers as soon as possible.

We are making a direct link to the Business Rules Group publication. We believe that the authors and articles of that site are always suitable to our interests. If you are not aware of this site, please follow the link to that site. The JCM readers will find a set of interesting articles. With the efforts currently underway to combine Object Role Modeling (ORM) to a more extensive set of business rules, this cross reading should be very worthwhile. As for myself, I find these articles to be of great interest.
