Journal of Conceptual Modeling
www.inconcept.com/jcm

We welcome any type of content submission, and not just articles. We welcome recommendations for our Book Store, letters to the editor, WWW links and resources, glossary items, etc. Types of content submissions and their instructions are below.

Articles

Those interested in submitting an article for the The Journal of Conceptual Modeling should submit their article no later than the 20th of the month prior to the next issue of the JCM. For example, in order to make the February, 1999 issue, you should submit your article by January 20th, 1999. Your article will be evaluated for relevance, accuracy, and mechanics. If any editing is needed, the proposed revisions will be e-mailed back to you for your approval before publication.

We make no guarantees that your work will be published.

InConcept is providing this journal as a service to the public and thus cannot pay you for your submission(s). The benefits of volunteering content are abundant, however.

In submitting work, you are agreeing to have your work posted for an indefinite amount of time. It may be referred to, hyperlinked to, or published anywhere on the The Journal of Conceptual Modeling website or the website of our sponsor, InConcept.

However, you will always retain the copyright (and all other rights) for your work, you will always receive proper credit for your work, and you may publish it elsewhere as you please. If submitting an article to us, please inform us if you have previously submitted it elsewhere. Likewise, if you are submitting your work elsewhere after submitting it to us, please inform the other publishers as well. Not all publishers are likely to yield the copyright for your (possibly) paid submission.

We agree to never sell any copies of your work to anyone. If we distribute or publish it anywhere, it will be as a free service to the public.

Those interested in re-printing any material should contact the authors for permission. Additionally, we would like the re-print to credit the The Journal of Conceptual Modeling and provide the URL (http://www.inconcept.com/JCM/). An example of such credit is:

"This article originally appeared in the The Journal of Conceptual Modeling (http://www.inconcept.com/JCM/)."

Authors submitting work also have the opportunity to provide a short (one paragraph) biography. Such biography may contain contact information such as e-mail or postal addresses, company/institution name, biographical information, phone numbers etc. Please keep this section short and appropriate. An example biography is below:

"The author, Joe Blow, is the CIO of A Very Large Company, Inc. and is most noted for the inventions of the column and row. Joe can be reached at JBlow@AVLC.com. For more information on A Very Large Company, Inc., please see http://www.AVLC.com or contact the sales department at 1 - 900 - 411 - 2852."

Feel free to e-mail our editor with any questions, corrections, and/or submissions. All Article submissions should be e-mailed to our editor. Preferred file formats are Microsoft Word (version 6.0 or later) and Visio (version 5.0 or later). Please contact our editor if you cannot submit your piece(s) in this format as other arrangements can be made.'
